During a hot exam week, you can drop the workout. Keeping cool and having somewhere suitable to study matter more than maintaining an exercise streak. A short or gentle routine is not automatically safe in extreme heat.
Check the conditions before making a plan
Check local heat alerts and public-health advice. In India, SACHET provides disaster-safety guidance. Do not assume that a fixed window such as noon to 4 pm describes the heat risk in every location, or that indoors is always cool enough.
If your study space is uncomfortably hot, focus on finding a cooler place and arranging rest and access to drinking water. Ask family, your school or your accommodation provider about available options. Do not add exercise to an already difficult environment.
Let study breaks be breaks
Pause between subjects or sections of a paper. You can put the book down and rest without turning the pause into a five-minute exercise session. A breathing routine or restorative-yoga video is not a substitute for cooling down.
When conditions are comfortable and you feel well, you may choose a familiar position change or a little easy movement. Skip anything painful or tiring. There is no required sequence, time target or lost session to make up later. Follow any activity or fluid advice specific to your health needs.
Know when to get help
Headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness or heavy sweating in the heat can be signs of heat illness. Stop activity, move to a cooler place and get medical help. Do not try to stretch or breathe through these symptoms.
Confusion, slurred speech, a seizure or loss of consciousness in the heat requires emergency help. Call your local emergency number, stay with the person and begin cooling them while help is on the way. Move them to a cooler place if possible and wet the skin or use cool wet cloths. Do not wait for them to stop sweating before acting.
Keep the plan small during exams
Before the next study block, check that the space is suitable and decide when you can pause. If conditions worsen or you feel unwell, change the study plan too. Completing a revision target does not take priority over getting help.
