What Can a Recovery Day Include Besides Complete Rest?

Many practitioners assume that a recovery day means lying entirely motionless on the couch. While absolute stillness has its place, strict passivity can sometimes leave you feeling stiff or restless when you have low energy but still want gentle movement.
A recovery day does not have to mean complete inactivity. It can include gentle breathing, restorative movement, sleep hygiene adjustments, and choosing trainers who respect appropriate pacing rather than demanding maximum effort from your body in every single session.
